How to Avoiding the Flu
I catched a cold at the first day of 2009, because i stayed up late! This is the first time i am ill this term, thanks to some exercises with my friends in the evening.
I think the best way to avoid flu is keep ourself warm and do exercises regularly. It’s also important to have a good living habit, we must have enough sleep, we shouldn’t give ourselves too much stress.
The following is some tips from Lifespy
With the weather this cold, it’s not unlikely that people will start getting the flu. Getting sick is never a good idea–especially at this time of the year. Even I have a lot of reports to finish before the year ends so we have to be in good shape. And the last thing you want is to spend the vacation in bed recovering from flu. Don’t let the weather get in the way of our holiday fun. Here are tips on how you can avoid getting infected with it.
Observe good hygiene. Keeping yourself clean and fresh is critical so that your body will not be susceptible to diseases. This means you have to clean your hands often and especially before you prepare food.
Don’t forget to take your daily multi-vitamins. Even if you’re following a good and well-balanced diet, taking supplements is still good for you to make sure you’re getting all the vitamins and minerals you need for the day’s activities.
Keep yourself hydrated. Drink as much water as you can to keep yourself active. Dehydration causes depression. Drink up to stabilize your body temperature, improve your circulation, and strengthen you immune system.
Stay away from people who are already sick with flu. Flu is easily transferred so be careful.
Get a flu shot. Bring the kids too. A flu shot is a good armor against the sickness and it can protect you for a year so it’s worth getting it.
Wash the laundry regularly and clean the house often. The clothes you wore outside have brought in all sorts of bacteria so it’s better to get them washed immediately. It’s also a good preventive measure to clean your house, especially the common areas where you invite the guests who may have brought in the flu.
